United National Peace Conference: Bring the Troops Home.

Longtime Peace Center member Frank Gage has kindly donated 2 rooms at the Crowne Plaza Hotel for this grand event: one for males, the other for
females. Up to 4 people can stay in a room. Email Frank
(snowbird8@verizon.net) to reserve space. First come, first served.
Frank will be driving to Albany from Buffalo on Friday, July 23. Charley
Bowman will be driving on Saturday, July 24. Both have space for riders.

Please bring a recording device as many wonderful presentations will be
going on simultaneously. Folks will be attending ones that interest them.
We can compile the recorded speeches at a later date.
If you have not yet registered for the National Peace Conference, please
do so now. You can register from the web site at:
http://www.nationalpeaceconference.org . If you need a room at the
hotel, the special conference room rate will end on June 25. You can get

. If you register through that link, use block code BLZ to get the
conference rate. You can also register for a room by calling (518)
462-6611. Let them know you are with the National Peace Conference for
the special room rate. Hotel rooms can be shared by a number of people.
There is also now a page on the web site for people who cannot pay for a
hotel room and would like to share a room or find people in the Albany
area who can put them up or have camping space. For either of these
options, or if you can provide space for someone from outside of the
Albany area, please go to the web site and fill out the form. Also if you
want to share a ride or have a ride to share to the conference you can let
us know on the web site. All this is done under menu item called “travel

Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Albany New York (one block east of the
capitol). Many workshops are scheduled and many leaders of the peace and
progressive movements will be there: Cindy Sheehan, Kathy Kelly, Medea
Benjamin, Ann Wright, Dahlia Wasfi, Leila Zand, Michael McPhearson, Kevin
Martin, David Swanson, Glen Ford, and many others.
Keynote speakers are Noam Chomsky and Donna Dewitt (President of the South
Carolina AFL-CIO).
